+ Where does the event take place?

The fishing takes place on the Upper Colorado River with multiple beats between Pumphouse and Catamount. The Draw Party / Silent Auction takes place at Eagle River Brewing Company, Awards Party takes place at Vin 48 Restaurant & Wine Bar..

+ Who can participate?

Anglers of all ages and levels can enter. This is a co-ed, fly fishing only event. A guide will be provided with a boat to take you if you are not already bringing one! If you have ever been paid to fish, including guides, you must enter the Pro Division. Amateurs are invited to fish up into the Pro Division if they want to test their angling metal against the other Pros and a shot for the $5,000 in cash money.

+ Can a guest join me either evening at the Draw Party/Auction at Eagle River Brewing Co on Saturday 9/28 or Awards Party on at Vin 48 Sunday 9/29?

Yes. If you are a competitor entered in the event, you can bring a guest either evening or both. For $50/guest per evening, additional guests can join in the fun. Click on ADD-ON for either date in the ticket purchase process. Ticketed entry to evening events. Digital tickets will be checked at the door at both evening events.

+ Are tickets required to enter the evening events?

Yes. A digital ticket provided through EventBrite needs to be presented at each evening event for entry.

+ How much does it cost to register?

$1,400 Pro / $1,400 Am (includes $100/angler for Big Fish entry)

+ does the event sellout or capped at a certain number of boats?

Yes the event will sell out. The total field is capped at 30 teams/boats.

+ Can i bring my own guide and boat?

Yes, otherwise a guide and boat will be provided for your team.

+ Will there be vehicle and trailer shuttles run?

Vehicles will be shuttled for participating teams. Be sure to leave the keys with your vehicle and the location of the keys, vehicle description, and license plate # with tourney staff. Vehicles will be shuttled and parked at the pull out for your designated beat being fished.

+ What are the prizes?

The tourney features over $10,000 in cash and prizes. The Pro cash purse is $3,000 for First place, $1500 for Second place and $500 for Third place. The AM prize purse is 1st $3,000 (in prizes), 2nd $1,500 (in prizes), 3rd $500 (in prizes).

+ What do I get with my registration?

Two(2) Person Team Boat/Guided Float, Two(2) Big Fish Entries, Two(2) Box Lunches from Boardroom Deli, Two(2) Dinners and Drinks (+2 Guests) at Eagle River Brewing Company Draw Party and Silent Auction, Two(2) Apps and Drinks (+2 Guests) at Vin 48.

+ Where should I stay for the event?

We suggest centrally located lodging in Avon, CO or Edwards, CO.

+ Is there camping available?

Yes, there is camping throughout the area. A Google search is your best option.

+ Who does the event benefit?

The Upper Colorado Fall Classic benefits Eagle Valley Trout Unlimited a 501c3 organization. All proceeds stay in Eagle County. The Upper C Fall Classic is EVTU's largest fund raiser of the year.

+ how do i bid on auction items?

You can bid online prior to the silent auction and -or- at the silent auction which takes place on Saturday night, September 28 at Eagle River Brewing Company. There will also be a series of raffles with some big ticket items with limited tickets available to purchase.
